1987 Freedom 35

St Peter Port, Guernsey

1987 Freedom 35, designed by Garry Hoyt and built by Western Approaches in Falmouth, with 28 hp Volvo Penta 2003 diesel engine. Twin unstayed aluminium masts, with more conventional full batten slab reefing mainsails, rather than the wishbone cat rigs normally associated with Freedom Yachts. A very solid traditional heavy displacement offshore cruising yacht with full length keel and transom hung rudder, renowned for their ease of handling, seaworthiness and downwind performance. Great potential, with some TLC and upgrading, to be a comfortable long distance passage maker.
